Hand-built ceramic pillow box. Created using the slab method and cutting out two pieces to form the body of the piece. The pieces are assembled into a closed form and then a small hole is inserted into the piece. The artist then uses a small clay straw to blow air into the body, inflating it into the pillow shape. This piece is then decorated with an alternating stripe pattern.
